What are the Home Energy Assessments available from Black Hills?
Black Hills offers residential ratepayers in Iowa the ability to request either a Virtual Assessment of their home’s energy efficiency or an In-Home Assessment.
What are the differences between the two options?
The Virtual Assessment is completed via a mobile device with a video stream. Customers are eligible for a $25 rebate when they verify installation of do-it-yourself efficiency measures sent after the evaluation.
The In-Home Assessment is completed by an Energy Advisor visiting your home. Note there are a limited number of In-Home Assessments available.
Who is eligible for discounted products and rebates?
To be eligible for the offerings you must be an active residential customer of Black Hills in Iowa. Account verification is done by matching the account holder’s first name and last name as well as the full service address with Black Hills account records.
What are the prices for the Home Energy Assessmentss offered?
Black Hills is currently offering both Virtual Assessments and In-Home Assessments at no charge to Black Hills residential customers in Iowa. Note In-Home Assessments are limited and may not be available at the date and/or time of interest.
